Superbly Hand Crafted WW2 Fighting Knife: 7 inch double edged blade, brass guard stamped USA 1944, unknown maker; grip made from symmetrically spaced fiber, copper, and aluminum washers; brass pommel, 3 piece leather scabbard with lightly scribed but unreadable letters (owner or unit?), the only one like it I have ever seen, overall light wear.
