Postal Protection Dagger: An early example, 24.5 cm bright blade has nice cross graining, a perfect tip, hallmarked by the sole maker of this dagger: Paul Weyersberg & Co. Solingen; nickel pommel and crossguard, solid ebony grip, solid nickel grip eagle, excellent enamel swastikas, guard arms are stamped with serial number 1330 and DRP (Deutsche Reichspost), the nine upper and twelve lower chain links are hard soldered and nickle plated, the nickle plated pot metal clip has a strong spring, reverse is marked DRGM in a rectangle, only 50% of reverse plating remains; metal scabbard has zero damage, black enamel paint is 95-98% intact, nickle scabbard mounts and their 5 recessed screws are in excellent condition, based on the observed serial numbers, less than 3000 daggers were made, overall condition: Very Light Wear.
