The hat has some issues: the braided cord chinstrap and the embroidered oval DAF cogwheel are missing. The band's stiffener is broken as well as the maker shield because the vet probably packed too many other items on top of it when he mailed it back home. The eagle on the hat is a replacement, missing all three prongs, period safetypin soldered on, marked RZM 117. The value of the eagle should help fund the cost of buying a replacement chincord and oval. The fabric is in perfect condition. The hat needs to be steamed and blocked. It seems to be very restorable.
