1940 Yahrbucher der Wehrmacht: German Airforce, Navy, and Army: Breitkopf & Härtel, Leipzig, 1940. cloth-hardcover, eagle & title impressed in colored ink, 17.75 x 24 x 1.9 cm, 184-6 pages in each, numerous glossy plates of photos in each, only damage comes from age: binder glue is brittle, paper pages starting to darken, dust jackets show minimal wear. Text is filled with backslapping celebration after the easy victories of the war they started in 1939. The rare cardboard storage box has some open edges in a few places from age and storage wear, still looks great. Includes Nachrichtenblatt pamphlet, Inf. Rgt. Nr 83; Kassel, Jan 1940, 28 pages, has many reports of the Polish campaign, 5 photos, 2 maps, mint.
