Fronte Russo: silvered tombac, full blue paint letters, 44 mm, missing pin, maker: F. M. Lorioli Fratelli Milan, very scarce badge, cleaned, moderate wear. The Italian FRONTE-RUSSO honor badge was awarded in 1943 to all troops that served on the Eastern Front from 1941 to June 1943. The badge was also awarded to CSIR Germans and soldiers in the 8th Army Corps. The wreath with oakleaves (heroism) and thorns (suffering) touched the knot of Savoy at the top. The center has two crossed Cossack sabers, the ribbon bears the title of the award.
