KDF Ostsee Fahrt 1939: This tinnie was struck for the expected opening of a huge beachfront KDF resort in East Prussia. Unfortunately WW2 brought that project to a screeching halt when Germany and the Soviet Union invaded Poland in 1939. In 1945 the USSR kept the land they took in east Poland in 1939. In exchange they gave Poland land in East Germany. The KDF Ostsee resort land is now Polish territory. Enameled tomback with gold brennlack finish, 40 x 15 mm, a very rare badge not listed in Tieste, very light storage wear.
