Early NSDAP Shooting Club Table Standardt
1927 NSDAP Schutzen Verein Tisch Fahnen: An early "struggle time" dinner table flag, 16 x 19 cm, 5 cm gold bullion fringe.
Front side: golden orange silk with black hand embroidered swastika and lettering which reads "Shooting Club, Gut Ziel (good goal), 1927." The term "Gut Ziel" was a common motto with German shooting clubs all over Germany. This fancy little banner does not have a city name.
Reverse side: A green-brown velvet field with hand embroidered
oak leaves and acorns, in the center is a 9 cm three color painted
leather bulls eye with the letters GZ that stands for the motto.
The banner is piped with gold bullion and has
5 cm gold bullion fringe on the bottom. The flag is supported by a heavy 25 cm brass
pole w/ pointed finial held by six gold cloth emboidered
loops. The silk is fraying below the swastika showing the matching
supporting fabric. The ball on the left would snap in to a heavy vertical table place stand or some kind of fixture on the wall possibly next to a registration table. A very early and rare National Socialist
shooting club flag, overall moderate wear.
